Iraivan (2023)

The Chennai city lives in fear of a psycho killer. Confidence in the police wanes until Arjun and Andrew join. Arjun, with a dark past, unveils truths about the killer. They finally arrest the killer but he escapes and chaos ensues. Arjun loses Andrew and his love, descending into darkness. The story follows Arjun’s journey to vanquish the killers.

Iraivan (transl. Lord) is a 2023 Tamil-language psychological action thriller film written and directed by I. Ahmed. It is produced by Sudhan Sundaram and G. Jayaram under Passion Studios. The film stars Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara.

The film was announced in March 2022 without a title, which was revealed only that September. Principal photography commenced in March 2022 and wrapped by that November. The music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the cinematography and editing are handled by Hari K. Vedantam and J. V. Manikanda Balaji, respectively.

Iraivan was initially scheduled for a release on 25 August 2023, but was postponed due to unfinished post-production work. It is now released on 28 September 2023.
